WHO WE ARE
We are a people called. Our goal is to cultivate a sustainable community transformation by relational focused missional living in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
Here at IRIE Life, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little less talking and a little more doing. Since 2020, we have been in Ocho Rios; looking, listening and learning how we can make an impact. We are passionate about loving people well. We believe in focusing on strategic initiatives in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and discipleship in order to see sustainable change in our community. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display our conviction of Christ's love for everyone. Bringing the gospel to life, together. We love, in action.
WHAT WE DO
Love, in action. Our greatest desire is to live out the gospel. Our hope is to see self sustainable transformation in our community by missional living. Together, we can see lasting change in our community by focused initiatives in education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and discipleship.
CHILD SPONSORSHIPS
It as been proven that education is crucial in breaking the cycle of poverty. We believe every child is uniquely and masterfully created with purpose and loved dearly by God, regardless of their circumstances or economic situation. Through our child sponsorship program you can help support a child by empowering them to live out of their whole heart. We do this by relationally offering the basic needs to be able to attend school to those most vulnerable in our community.
Sponsoring provides a child in need, with the required funds to attend primary school here in Jamaica. $45 per month will provide transportation to and from school, lunch, uniform, shoes, books, backpack, and supplies.
Our program is also designed for our sponsors to get to meet and interact with the child they are sponsoring. Jamaica's proximity to the US allows transformative relationships to be built and cultivated both ways.
As we are actively developing our program, we hope to include after school sports, math olympics, summer spelling bee's, summer sports camps, annual Christmas parties, end of school year parties, VBS, and basic health care checkups. Each child being sponsored will have monthly home visits by our staff to offer extra encouragement and support.
BUCKFIELD PARK
At IRIE Life, we are dedicated to long lasting, self sustaining transformation of our community in Ocho Rios. As one the top destinations for tourists visiting Jamaica, the local community was hit hard by the COVID pandemic and travel shut downs. Care for the local playfield for the community was abandoned. Revitalizing the park is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation with local government and community empowerment, we are making great strides at creating a safe and set apart place for the entire Ochi community. TECHNOLOGY TRAINING
This is the heart of why we started IRIE Life. This initiative is designed to promote great opportunities for those desiring to further their knowledge in the information sector. We believe with access to the right resources, people can become empowered through their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential. We plan on offering basic computing skills through programming at a competitive level.
CARIBBEAN ENTERPRENURS
We believe in making positive connections ("links"). There are so many organizations and individuals trying to make a positive impact. Our small contribution is to organize these groups in a gestalt for the betterment of all persons in Caribbean countries. We hope to encourage, dream with, partner when possible, and offer micro loans to local entrepreneurs with a plan.
